1. Don't buy anything until you need it!
2. Scheduling is everything. Buy a calendar or dayplanner each school year and use it.
3. Make friends with your crockpot- it will save you a lot of time on busy days.
4. Start collecting crockpot recipes....
5. If you haven't already purchased one, get a file cabinet to store all of your child's records.
6. Buy a quality bookshelf with adjustable shelves.
7. Buy quality bookends too!
8. Purchase a bin or tub to hold all of your child's frequently used supplies and keep it in your homeschool area.
9. Purchase all of your supplies the week after public school starts- the items will be on sale then!
10. If you are unsure of what you are doing or you aren't getting the support you need, find a local support group on the Internet or through your local public school.
11. Learn several different ways to explain "socialization" to family members who just don't understand homeschooling.
